Ashura
Norns
The Ashura Norns are a genetic breed created by Lone--Wanderer which is
especially useful for DS players. They come in two forms, one using chichi sprites and the other magma sprites. Their biochemistry, however, is quite unique. She explains:
"Ashura" is the Sanskrit (ancient Hindu) word for "Demon," and in some aspects, these Norns aren't very different from them! For starters, Ashura's live much longer than regular Norns, reaching childhood at fifty minutes! They can also play with normally dangerous things, like Trappers, without harm, and can even eat detritus safely (it provides protein and Antihistamines)! When they hit or are hit by other Creatures, their sex drive is greatly reduced, making them less likely to flood your world with baby Norns when it gets crowded.
Asuras come in two forms. One looks like a tailless Chichi, the other like a deep blue Magma, They were created in dual form so that users can choose how they look. All in all, the Ashura Norns were based off of the standard Chichis, and are compatible with Amanora's breeds! But take caution, as this also means that they can't be bred with regular Norns without the danger of creating Sliders or Norns Who Walk Right.
Other modifications include:
-being hit by or hitting other Creatures reduces their sec drive to almost nothing
-their lifespan is immensly longer than a regular Norn's, reaching childhood at fifty minutes! The reason? So that if you get attached to one, it won't die on you eight hours later.
-normally dangerous things, like so-called "beasts" and Trappers, don't hurt them
when played with.
-alcohol delivers nasty amounts of Punishment (last thing we need is a bunch of
drunk, long-lived Norns).
-Punishment is much more direct, so if you REALLY need to continuously punish a
Norn for doing something stupid, it won't get Handophobia and start screaming"me dislike-insert name of hand here-" all the time. It just punishes, like it's supposed to.
Each zip file contains an unnamed pair of just-born babies with vocabulary. Take your pick,or download both and mix 'em up to see what new forms you can develop!

Battle Norns
Grendel Man's Battle Norns are a very aggressive norn breed. They make good grendel hunters, but if they run out of grendels (if they wait that long) they're just as likely to hunt down ettins or other norns, too. They're equal opportunity hitters. They do not get lonely or homesick, but they do get crowded easily, and hate just about everybody but themselves. They like to eat critters and bugs. They are a chromatic red color, symbolizing their evil natures. They use bruin norn and grendel sprites.

Chem 6A Bondi Norns
The Chem 6A Bondis are the first breed we're hosting for killer_cute.
The Chem 6A Bondi norns are basically more laid back than
regular bondi norns and prefer crobsters as their main protein
food source. They also do better in a water metaroom without a beach that they can fall into the water from. (Therefore, Aquatilis Caverna is NOT a good choice. I tried, one of them managed to fall into the water and drown. )
There are two different genetics in the zipped file, one is the normal-colored
untinted bondi appearance, the other is a nice green-blue 'ocean' variation, other than color the Ocean ones are the exact same as the normal colored ones. Copy the .gen and .gno files into your Genetics folder. Put the starter pair into your My Creatures folder. The starter couple are one each of the normal and tinted variants, about 5 min old w/vocab in the download. Use a genome injector to produce new norns.

Darkstag Norns
We're happy to be hosting Narol's Darkstag norns, a colored half-breed
"created totally in game using mostly locally-born norns, with a few
immigrants from the warp." The darkstags are a happy, peaceful breed.
The female liked the hand almost immediately. They tended to stay together,
and got along well with each other, and with other norns and grendels. In
the download they're newborns. You'll need Fallow, Zebra, Treehugger and C3
Bengal sprites to display them properly.

Flame Norns
The Flame Norns, like the Magma Norns, like it hot. In fact, the Flame Norns need fire to live. Without heat, their digestive system shuts down, leading to starvation. Their metabolism, however, has found a way around the reletive lack of heat-it is produced with every breath.
Other features of the Flame Norns:
-They are immune to dying from water loss due to heat.
-They are mostly friendly, but are efficent grendel hunters.
-They may also give an ettin a few smacks.
-They live longer then most norns.
-They use the sprites of the Hardman Norns, Magma Norns (Norn N and E), and Butterfly Norns(Geat A)

Grape Norns
(Note: the grape norns are NOT a genetic breed, just an interesting color variation which may occur in any breed.)
Dippy and Yajoy are...well, purple. They'll be this shade throughout their
lives. Unlike Xacho and Kyodo, they were bred purely for their color. But they
turned out to be a couple of very sweet, gentle norns. They tend to stay together, but they're friendly to other norns. They get feisty and hit each other sometimes, but not much. Both are from generation 44514, although they're not
directly related. In the download they're about half an hour old. You'll need
bruin and civet sprites to display them correctly.

Grenorns
(Note: the grenorns are NOT a genetic breed, just an interesting appearance gene mutation which may occur in any breed.)Kutsu and Luboc are grenorns-norns with grendel body parts. They are a cross between bianci grendels and the same norn genome
as Lucha and Omo. Unfortunately, they didn't inherit either the
invisibility gene of Lucha and Omo or the resistance to death by
slapping of the bianci grendels.
They did make a pair of striking and intelligent grenorns. Those fond of grenorns will certainly enjoy them. Both are children in the download. You'll need grendel, bondi, moonlight, and sphinx sprites to display them properly.

Holland Norns
Vanya's Holland Norns are another well known genetic breed which were in danger of vanishing into the mists of time along with the website that hosted them. She has kindly given her permission to allow us to host them so that community members both new and yet to come may continue to enjoy them.
The Holland Norns are a genetic combination of zebra sprites and a bondi genome. During their life cycle they are red as babies, white as adolescents, and blue as adults. They are sociable and long-lived. They require a lot of fat and carbohydrates. They are exceptionally fond of cheese.
The download consists of Vanya's original egg agent and readme for C3/DS. I've also included a baby starter pair of creatures which can be imported into Docking Station.

Hunter Norns
Xacho and Kyodo are the first of an original genetic breed which I call the
Hunter Norns. They're special in several ways. They're beautiful. They stay
that lively lime color until adulthood, then change into the dark beauties
seen above. Their coloration was produced by Leumi. Their bad attitude is
my handiwork. They're a mixture of hardmans, draigs, guard norns, 264redjack's infamous serial killer norn from Gameware Forums, and other notably tough, bad-tempered specimens.
Although they stay hopping mad most of the time they don't hit norns very much. Tickle them a bit and they're sort of sweet. When they get tired of hopping they hunt grendels. With these guys in yourship your grendels aren't safe from your norns. They've also been interbred with that wonderful 44,000 gen series from SeeYou7.net. I hear people in the community saying that in the old days the generation lines must have reached 100,000 before fading away on the internet. This is currently the oldest breed line I know of, and I hope enough people will foster it that a few years from now people won't be saying "Wonder what ever happened to those 44,000s?" Both norns are babies in the download.
Their appearance genes are civet, hardman, zebra, bondi, and sphinx. So you'll need those sprite sets to display them properly.

Hunter Norns V.2
Here are the Hunter Norns v.2.2. The Hunter Norns are now suitable for use
with either Docking Station or Creatures 3. Thanks to assistance from Dominar
of the Mad Squirrel Brigade, the download now includes genetics files, an
egg agent, and egglayer image files for both C3 and DS, as well as a new starter pair with new genetics which can be imported into DS.

Techyo and Chayoi are the same genome as Xacho and Kyodo. A few generations
later, the original strain began to display some interesting color variations, and
these are a couple of them. They're still completely unafraid of grendels, but don't
seem to hunt them quite as avidly as their forebears.
Unfortunately, Chayoi inherited a recessive fastager gene along with her colors, but she's so pretty I think she's still worth having to add her colors to your gene pool. It only takes a generation or two to breed the fastager gene back out of genetic line. You'll need the same sprite sets as with Xacho and Kyodo to display them correctly. Both norns are babies in the download.

Kawari Norns
Thanks to Pezzhippo for consenting to let me host his Kawari Norns. Kawari
means "change" and reflects the fact that Pezzhippo has created a new organ
called the Variation Gland, which increases the chance of genetic mutation
in Kawari offspring. He says, however, that they should be be both interbreedable
with other norn species, and an asset to the genetic line
of any breeder seeking to vary their breeding results.
Akki and Aisha are both children in the download. They are both gen. 1
norns, and thus have an even greater chance of producing unusual genetic
mutation. Can this be the next step in norn evolution? Give them a try and
see for yourself. The Kawari Norns are also called "black chichis." Basic chichi sprites are all you need to view them correctly, so they're perfect
for new and veteran breeders alike.

Kopaka
Norns
We're happy to be hosting Geohevy's genetic breed, the Kopaka Norns.
Here is how Geohevy describes them in this exerpt from the readme:
Kopaka Norns: These norns love the cold, and in fact they need it to survive! They may look sweet, and cute, but be warned, they are evil! I've seen mothers slap their newborns to death just because they were born next to them. They also seem to get pleasure from slapping, so you may end up breaking up some fights! They like to have their own space, and if not they will most likely fight; the only problem with that is that they like to wander... a lot. The females are more aggresive than the males, but that's not to say they won't pick a fight either!
They may also be adept Grendel hunters, because although they were never exposed to Grendels, they would always suggest hitting Grendels to their angry siblings.

Kraler Draconians v.1.2
Grendel Man's Kraler Draconian Norns are an amphibious, crobster-loving norn breed. In this version, the Kralers age slower and need to eat less often than the original version. They've been color-edited, and their appearance genes have been altered so that they now require only draconian norn sprites. The download is an egg agent, so just unzip it to your My Agents folder, and the new Kralers will appear in your egglayer's menu.

Light Magma Norns
The Light Magma Norns are an original genetic breed created by KaelisRa. Just as their namesakes the Magma Norns require heat, the Light Magma Norns need good, strong ligh to survivet. If you import them into your ship please have somewhere particularly warm and sunny in mind for them to make a happy home for themselves.
Installation: Place the eggs.agent in your My Agents folder. Your egglayer will now lay eggs of this breed. KaelisRa's original .gen and .gno files are included for the benefit of student geneticists.

Ocean Bondi Norns
The Ocean Bondis are the first norn breed Grendel Man has
submitted to us for hosting. Needless to say, the Ocean Bondis
are amphibious. Given access to an elevator, they instinctively
want to go down. Although capable of surviving on land, they
prefer to stay in water. While not vicious, they are more aggressive
than normal bondis.
Critters are both a favorite food and a favorite toy.
The download contains an egg agent to be placed in your My Agents
folder, and a starter pair of freshly-born babies.

Onyx Chichi Norns
Some of you may have noticed that I recently subscribed to a download tracker service, in an effort to determine what you wanted from what was most downloaded. What you want most seems to be creatures that are suitable for use with Docking Station standalone.
As best I can, I strive to bring to you what you want, so here are the Onyx Chichis. The Onyx Chichis utilize the Hunter Norn genome, but with several changes. They now use the appearance genes of the standard Chichi Norn. They have been color edited so that as adults they are a violet hue so deep it's almost black. The color genes are also somewhat mutable. In my own testing, after just a few generations I was getting three distinct color strains - violet, blue, and brown.
Finally, their general genetic condition takes advantage of my continuing genetic learning process. They're longer-lived, hardier, and less continually angry than the original version 1 Hunters. They still do the angry dance whenever they express. I hope you enjoy them.

Rhya Norns
The Rhya Norns represent Lone--Wanderer's first foray into the realm of gengineering amphibian creatures. Although they make use of the aquanorn and aquanorn swim agent, their primary theme is the bondi norn, one of Lone's favorites.
Rhyas like to slap each other and drink alcohol - which heightens their sex drive. They exhibit an ettinesque love of gadgets and machinery. They are slow aging and quite social with ettins and other norns, thought they pose a serious risk to grendel populations if they happen to get aggravated around grendels. They are not totally aquatic. Although they prefer the depths, they can and do go ashore from time to time.
The download for the Rhya Norns contains Lone--Wanderer's readme, and egg.agent, and a starter pair of baby Rhya Norns.

The Serial Killer Norns
Norn breeds become known for various outstanding characteristics. The same is seldom true of individual norns. There's Ron, the legendary first norn. There's Eem Foo, the C1toDS norn. And then there's Fiona and Quilla, the serial killer norns.
Near the end of 2005, 264redjack's breeding program began occasionally
producing this deadly mutation. Several community members had been intrigued by rusty's tale of the killer norn, so when Fiona came along he posted her at Gameware forum. True to the story, Fiona was a cheerful norn who liked the hand and the other norns, and spent a lot of timeexpressing about friendly. Then the madness would hit. As if in a trance - still expressing friendly and a liking for her fellows - she would hunt down and kill every norn she could find. She was an amazingly efficient
killer, sometimes requiring no more than a couple of seconds, just three
or four blows, to fell a grown norn.
For about six months, Fiona was the standard for vicious, violent norns,
then Blue_Eyed_Alley_Cats presented Quilla. Like but unlike Fiona, Quilla's moods are about equally divided between angry and scared. She doesn't have any mellow phases. She starts slapping as soon as she hatches, and continues to do so until she's killed or runs out of prey.
In an adult to adult confrontation, her hardy Draconian genes give her the
advantage, and she usually manages to kill Fiona.
There's always an interest within the community in building a better
fighting norn, so here by special permission of 254redjack and Blue_Eyed_Alley_Cats are Fiona and Quilla, the perfect Serial Killer

Set Norns
From out of the Museum of Lost Breeds come the Set Norns, an ancient norn breed considered lost until now. A careful search of Alien's Norn Adoption Center unearthed a single creature download on a long-untended page. It was sufficient. And now KnyteTrypper is proud to present the return of the Set Norns.
The Set Norns are a genetic breed created by Nightrunner. The Set Norns were an offshoot of the original Osiris Norns (no relation to the wingie breed by that name), which were the first expressive norn breed for Creatures 3 Creature Labs' official expressive genomes were part of the Creatures 3 v.2 patch, released in Feb. 2000.). The Set project was an early exploration of the aggressive potential of norm genetics, and the results were incorporated into later versions of the Osiris norns. Both breeds were once available from the Project Osiris site, a defunct website which vanished so long ago that only a couple of mentions of even the site, itself, remain.
The Set Norns are extremely aggressive. They attack whatever they see, be it norn, ettin, or grendel. They are relatively resistent to toxins. They have a normal lifespan, but age to adult quickly. Since they are a recovered breed about which little information remains, not much else is known about them at present.
Discover them for yourself! The download includes and egg.agent and a starter pair of babies.
(Note: I did not create this breed. I merely recovered them from near-extinction. I recreated the genome and produced the egg.agent from the surviving specimen. I would be pleased if Nightrunner, the breed's creator, would contact me so that I might get more info and official permission to host them.)

After seeing this write up, she searched her personal archives and discovered NightRunner's original upload of the Set Norns, which has allowed me to upgrade the quality of the download I can offer to you. I left alone the Set genetics, and the upgrade of the egg.agent is basically a good thing. So that part of the package remains the same. Shadow Bengals
Grendel Man's Shadow Bengals are sensitive to light, Exposure to light will injure them heavily and cause extreme pain, but (probably) not kill them. It's recommended, therefore, that the Moonlight agents which accompany Marcus Kurzbach's Moonlight Norns be used in conjunction with them. The Cappilata Hub is a good place to set up the agents.
Some other Features of the Genome:
-They like to eat detritus.
-Alcohol is used to produce starch when hungry for starch, but is otherwise unoticable.
-They hate grendels, and want to hunt them down.
-They feel homesick for dark places.
-They live a long time.
-They use teleporters when crowded.
-They use the sprites of the Bengal Norns (Norn B).

Shadow Hunters
Lucha and Omo are the result of an experiment to cross the genetic strain of
norns like Xacho and Kyoto with Marcus Kurzbach's new Phantom Norns. Lucha and
Omo aren't shy about attacking grendels, but it doesn't seem to be their major purpose in life, as it is with Xacho and Kyoto. They don't get angry much, and get
along well with other norns. When hit they turn invisible until they calm down like
the Phantom Norns, if you have Marcus' invisibility agent.
They go thru four distinct color stages. Pictured are baby and adult stages. You'll need bondi, moonlight, and sphinx sprites to display them properly. In the download they are about 5 minutes old.

Straussen Norns
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Straussen Norns use Gaia sprites and agents.
They will not function or display properly unless you have/have
had Gaia injected into your world.
The Straussen Norns are a unique breed created by Neogecko for Evo-Tech.
they have a distinctive look, with their atrophied arms and extra-sturdy legs.
Their most unique characteristic is that they use the same telekinetic abilities as Gaia, being able to use mental power to summon food and
objects to themselves. Their primary food is nectar.
The Straussen Norns enjoy the company of other norns, and are happy when in a group of other breeds of norns, as they were bred to be protectors against grendels. However, they also love to explore the ship, and are likely to use portals when they find them. Due to their hardman genes they're angry a lot, but are easily calmed by the hand.
The download offered here is the original Evo-Tech file. It contains
genetics files, starter norns, and a great German readme featuring the Straussen Norn story. To display them correctly, you'll need hardman,
C3 ettin and grendel, and Gaia sprites.

Waterbender Norns
Grendel Man's Waterbender Norns would rather live under the sea where it is cool, than to live on land. They may comnplain of beong cold, but they won't shiver. Sometime after they hatch, they start sneezing and coughing. Don't worry, this is a reaction they have to being hot. After being in water for a few minutes, it stops. Also, coldness will reduce injury levels, but hotness will increase them (they need to have done something to get injury, though, don't worry about this too much).
Other features of the genome:
*They eat critters and bugs sometimes, but really prefer to be vegetarians.
*They are mostly peaceful. However, when attacked, they will fight back.
*They are slightly more fragile then normal norns when it comes to being hit by another creature.
*They want to go down when out of water.
*They also want to go down when in pain or hot.
*They use the sprites of the Fimbul Norns (Grendel T).
